Privacy Policy
Westwood International Inc Last updated: 2 September 2026
Westwood International Inc ("Westwood", "we", "us", "our") operates westwoodintl.com and its related sites, event pages and funnels, including mhd.westwoodintl.com (together, the "Sites"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using the Sites or submitting a form on them, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Westwood International Inc 722 South Main St Stowe, VT 05672 United States
Phone: +1 (617) 901-1900 Email: [email protected]
Westwood International Inc is a corporation incorporated in the State of Vermont. We deliver leadership development programmes, corporate training, coaching and live events, including the Mental Health Toolkit for Entrepreneurs event and the Hopemakers Collective Weekend.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form, register for an event, buy a ticket, subscribe to updates or contact us, we collect the information you enter. This typically includes your first name, last name, email address, mobile phone number, company or organisation, and any message or answers you provide.
Payment information. Ticket and product payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our systems. We receive a confirmation of the transaction, the amount, the last four digits of the card and the billing name and address.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Sites we collect standard technical information: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and the campaign parameters (such as UTM tags) that brought you to the page. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Consent records. When you tick a consent checkbox we record the fact of consent, the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, the IP address, and the page URL where consent was given. We keep these records for as long as we hold your data and for a reasonable period afterwards to evidence compliance.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. Our services, our events and our SMS programme are intended for adults only.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
respond to enquiries and provide customer support;
process ticket purchases, send order confirmations and issue receipts;
send event logistics, joining instructions, schedule changes and reminders;
send marketing and promotional messages about our events, programmes and services, where you have opted in;
operate, maintain, secure and improve the Sites;
measure the performance of our marketing campaigns; and
comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Our legal bases for processing, where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, are: performance of a contract (to deliver a ticket or event you have purchased), consent (for marketing email and SMS, and for non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (to run and secure our business and improve our services), and legal obligation (tax and record-keeping).
4. SMS / Text Messaging
This section governs our SMS programme and applies in addition to the rest of this Policy. Full programme terms are set out in our Terms of Service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services. That single exception exists only so that the messages you asked to receive can technically be delivered to your handset; those providers are contractually restricted to that purpose and may not use your number for their own marketing.
How you opt in. You will only receive text messages from us if you have explicitly opted in. Consent is given by ticking a consent checkbox on a form on our Sites. The checkbox is never pre-ticked, is never a condition of submitting the form, and is separate from any other agreement. Marketing consent and non-marketing (transactional) consent are collected as two separate checkboxes, so you may agree to one without the other. We keep a timestamped record of every consent, including the wording shown to you at the time.
What we send. Depending on which box or boxes you ticked: order and ticket confirmations, event reminders, schedule and venue updates, document or information requests, replies to your customer support enquiries, and — for marketing consent only — special offers, event announcements, service updates and industry news.
Frequency. Message frequency varies. Transactional messages are sent as events occur, for example when you place an order or as an event date approaches. Marketing messages are sent occasionally and are typically tied to an active campaign.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from us and to us from you. We do not charge for the messages themselves; your mobile carrier may.
How you opt out. You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. Opt-outs are processed immediately and automatically. After you send STOP we will send one confirmation message acknowledging that you have been unsubscribed, and then no further messages will be sent to that number unless you opt in again.
Help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us directly at [email protected] or +1 (617) 901-1900.
Carrier liability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Our SMS programme is operated in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA messaging guidelines, and is available on major US carriers.
5. Email
Marketing email is sent only to people who have opted in or who have purchased from us. Every marketing email carries a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes are honoured promptly. Transactional messages relating to an order or an event you have registered for are not marketing and may still be sent after you unsubscribe from marketing. Our email practices follow the CAN-SPAM Act.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent, trade or broker personal information. We do not buy, sell, rent or share consumer contact data with lead generators, affiliates or data brokers.
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate our business, and only to the extent needed to do so. These include:
our CRM, marketing automation, email and SMS platform (HighLevel);
SMS aggregators and messaging providers, solely to deliver the messages you consented to receive;
our payment processor (Stripe), to take and reconcile payments;
website hosting, analytics and advertising measurement providers;
our event delivery partners, venues and speakers, where a detail such as a name on an attendee list is necessary to run an event you have registered for; and
levelpartner.ai, which provides marketing, funnel and automation services to Westwood under contract.
Every one of these providers is contractually obliged to maintain the confidentiality and security of the information and to use it only for the purpose we engaged them for.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, court order or a valid governmental request, or where necessary to establish or defend legal claims, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Westwood or others. If Westwood is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction; the mandatory SMS restriction in Section 4 continues to apply to any mobile information transferred.
7. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Sites working, remember your preferences, understand how the Sites are used and measure advertising performance. This may include analytics and advertising pixels operated by third parties such as Meta and Google.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the Sites function. Where required by law, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies before they are set. Cookie and pixel data is never linked to your mobile number for the purpose of sharing that number with anyone.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Policy:
enquiry and contact data: up to 3 years from your last interaction with us;
customer and attendee records, including order and payment records: 7 years, to meet tax and accounting requirements;
marketing and SMS subscriber data: until you unsubscribe or opt out, and then only the minimum record needed to honour your opt-out and evidence past consent;
website analytics data: normally up to 26 months.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
have inaccurate information corrected;
have your information deleted;
object to or restrict certain processing;
receive your information in a portable format;
withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal; and
not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Westwood does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. Residents of other US states with comparable privacy laws have equivalent rights.
To exercise any right, email [email protected] or call +1 (617) 901-1900. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, normally within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
To stop SMS, the fastest route is simply to reply STOP to any message.
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricting access to those who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International transfers
Westwood is based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and elsewhere. Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK, we do so on the basis of appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Third-party links
The Sites may link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and this Policy does not apply to them. Please read their policies before providing information to them.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Sites after a change means you accept the revised Policy.
