Terms of Service
Westwood International Inc Last updated: 2 September 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of westwoodintl.com and its related sites, event pages and funnels, including mhd.westwoodintl.com (together, the "Sites"), and your purchase of tickets, programmes and services from Westwood International Inc ("Westwood", "we", "us", "our").
By using the Sites, submitting a form, or purchasing a ticket or service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites.
1. Who we are
Westwood International Inc 722 South Main St Stowe, VT 05672 United States
Phone: +1 (617) 901-1900 Email: [email protected]
Westwood International Inc is a corporation incorporated in the State of Vermont. We provide leadership development programmes, corporate training, coaching and live events, including the Mental Health Toolkit for Entrepreneurs event and the Hopemakers Collective Weekend.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Sites, purchase from us, submit a form or subscribe to our SMS or email programmes. By using the Sites you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you provide is accurate and belongs to you. In particular, you confirm that any mobile number you submit is a number you own or are authorised to enrol.
3. Tickets, purchases and payment
Prices and currency. Prices are stated on the relevant page and are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Prices exclude any applicable sales tax, which is added at checkout where required.
Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you authorise us and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for the full amount shown at checkout.
Confirmation. Your order is accepted when we send you a confirmation by email. Please keep it; it is your proof of registration.
Non-transferable. Tickets are issued to the named registrant. If you need to transfer a ticket to a colleague, contact us in advance and we will do so where practical.
Event details. Event dates, times, venues, speakers and programme content are as published at the time of purchase. We may need to substitute a speaker or adjust the programme; we will notify registrants of material changes. If we cancel an event outright, registrants receive a full refund of the ticket price or, at their choice, a transfer to a rescheduled date.
Refunds and cancellations. Unless the event page states otherwise, tickets are refundable if you cancel in writing at least 14 days before the event date, and are non-refundable after that point, though transfers to another person or to a future event may be permitted at our discretion. Refunds are made to the original payment method.
Travel and expenses. You are responsible for your own travel, accommodation and related costs. We are not liable for those costs if an event is postponed, relocated or cancelled.
4. SMS / Text Messaging Programme
This section sets out the terms of our text messaging programme. It applies in addition to our Privacy Policy.
Programme description. Westwood International Inc sends order confirmations, event reminders, logistics updates and — where separately consented to — marketing and promotional messages to customers and prospective customers who have submitted their mobile number through a form on our Sites and have explicitly opted in to receive SMS notifications. Messages are automated and business-initiated.
How you join. Consent is given by ticking a consent checkbox on a form on our Sites. The box is never pre-ticked and is never required in order to submit the form. Marketing consent and non-marketing consent are collected as two separate, optional checkboxes; you may agree to one, both, or neither. After you opt in you will receive a confirmation message.
Message types. Depending on the consent you gave, we send:
order and ticket purchase confirmations;
event reminders and countdown notices;
rescheduling, venue and schedule updates;
registration and application updates;
document and information requests;
customer support communications in reply to your enquiry; and
with marketing consent only: special offers, early-bird and pricing announcements, new event and programme announcements, service updates and industry news.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies. Transactional messages are sent as events occur — for example, when you place an order, or in the days leading up to an event you have registered for. Marketing messages are sent occasionally, typically while a campaign is running, and volume varies by campaign. There is no fixed number of messages per month.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Westwood does not charge you for the messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply. Contact your carrier for details of your plan.
Opting out (STOP). You may cancel SMS messages at any time. Simply text STOP to the same number that sent you the message. After you send STOP, we will send you one confirmation message to acknowledge that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further text messages from that programme. If you want to rejoin, sign up again through a form on our Sites.
Help (HELP). Reply with the keyword HELP to any message for assistance, or reach us directly at [email protected] or +1 (617) 901-1900.
Carrier liability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Delivery and availability. Delivery of text messages depends on your carrier's network and your handset. We cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered, or delivered on time. The programme is supported on major US wireless carriers.
Compliance. Our SMS programme is operated in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA messaging principles and best practices, and applicable carrier requirements. You must be 18 or over to participate.
Your mobile number. You agree to notify us if you stop using a mobile number you enrolled, so that we do not message a subsequent holder of that number.
Privacy. Mobile information collected through our opt-in forms is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
5. Email communications
By providing your email address you agree that we may send you messages relating to your order, registration or enquiry. Marketing email is sent only where you have opted in or purchased from us, and every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
use the Sites for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law;
submit false, misleading or fraudulent information, or another person's contact details without authority;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Sites, their systems or other users' data;
interfere with or disrupt the Sites, including by scraping, automated data collection, denial-of-service or the introduction of malicious code;
resell, reproduce or commercially exploit any part of the Sites or our programme content without our written permission; or
record, stream or redistribute event content without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate access, and cancel a registration without refund, if these Terms are breached.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the Sites — text, graphics, logos, images, video, course materials, frameworks and software — is owned by Westwood International Inc or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own personal or internal business use. Any other use requires our prior written permission.
Materials provided at or in connection with an event are licensed to you for your own use and may not be redistributed, resold or used to deliver competing training.
8. Third-party services and links
The Sites use third-party services, including HighLevel for CRM, email and SMS, and Stripe for payments, and may link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third-party sites and services. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Sites and their content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Our events, programmes and content are educational and are provided for general information. They are not medical advice, psychological or psychiatric treatment, therapy, diagnosis, or a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Our mental health programming is designed to help business owners and leaders build practical habits and awareness; it does not create a therapeutic relationship. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
We make no guarantee of any particular business, financial, professional or personal result from attending an event or using our materials.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Westwood International Inc, its officers, employees, contractors and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Sites, our SMS or email programmes, or attendance at an event.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Westwood International Inc against any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Sites, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Sites is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information, including mobile information collected through our opt-in forms.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they were last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Sites or of our SMS programme after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Vermont, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The state and federal courts located in Vermont have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
15. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any event-specific terms shown at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and Westwood regarding the Sites.
